Replacing the replacement chuck head – reserving functionality and safety
After a long period of use, it is possible that the replacement chuck head no longer holds an inserted instrument adequately, so that the instrument no longer rotates when the handpiece motor is switched on, or the instrument can no longer be inserted into the chuck. This deterioration in the function of the replacement chuck head is normal and is not a reason for complaint.
If the replacement chuck head no longer functions properly, you can easily replace it yourself. To ensure a long service life for the replacement chuck head, only use suitable and undamaged instruments.
Note
Contaminated dust particles may be released when replacing the replacement chuck head. Therefore, wear suitable mouth and nose protection. Disinfect the workplace and the drill with a suitable surface disinfectant.
