What makes terry cloth covers so popular then
Besides towels and bathrobes, covers for treatment chairs/couches are also preferably made from high-quality terry cloth. The fluffy fabric, made from pure cotton or a cotton blend with synthetic fibres such as polyester or polyamide, not only has a silky-soft surface and a comfortable feel. It is also especially absorbent, durable and easy to care for.
Furthermore, terry cloth, with its looped structure, provides a gentle massaging effect. Depending on the material composition, RUCK terry cloth covers are machine washable at 40 to 95 degrees Celsius. Tumble drying has an especially positive effect on the cosy, soft fabric. This also helps prevent possible lint build-up with simple measures. However, so that terry cloth covers stay in their original shape, you should not dry them at very hot temperatures.
Is terry cloth water-repellent?
Although conventional terry cloth covers absorb moisture quickly and reliably, they are not water-repellent. To complement their typical absorbency with these properties, artificial fibres such as polyester and polyurethane – known as PU for short – are combined with them. Combined with cotton, they give terry cloth covers for treatment tables and similar items water-repellent qualities.
