Adhesive instead of wire: The principle behind the GOLDSTADT professional adhesive brace

Unlike conventional nail braces with wire elements, the GOLDSTADT professional adhesive brace is secured directly to the nail plate. Thanks to precise bending in the opposite direction to the natural curvature of the nail, the forces of leverage of the precious metal brace are activated. No wire fastening is required. Instead, in the final step of the treatment, you coat the brace placed on the nail with light-curing UV gel.

Then apply the adhesive brace to the toenail

Each nail correction system adhesive brace has its own mechanism. We explain how to apply the GOLDSTADT professional brace correctly to the nail – step by step:

• Clean the nail fold and trim the tip of the nail with the top nipper.
• Smooth the tip and nail plate with the nail file.
• Clean the entire nail plate with the RUCK nail correction system Cleaner.
• To stretch the nail folds, insert tampons and, if desired, moisten them with peclavus Pre-treatment to soothe the area.
• Measure with the measuring tool to just before the opposite nail fold.
• Adjust the brace to the curvature of the nail plate using the round-nose pliers.
• Then bend the brace against the direction of application to activate the forces of leverage.
• Clean and degrease the brace and nail plate.
• Moisten the nail surface with the RUCK Activator.
• Apply a thin layer of adhesive to the brace and place it on the nail. Press down for around 20 seconds on each side.
• Remove any excess adhesive residue.
• Apply a thin, even layer of RUCK UV Gel to the nail. If the nail bed is damp or oily, use RUCK Primer first.
• Apply a generous layer of UV gel to completely cover the adhesive brace.
• Set the UV gel for around two minutes using the light curing lamp.
• If the dressings are contaminated, replace them with new ones without fail.
• Finally, optionally soak the dressings with peclavus PODOmed AntiMYX Silver.
