The adhesive brace has its strengths with highly thin nail plates and highly sensitive or inflamed nail folds, as it is not hooked under the nail edge. For application, the adhesive brace stays 2-4 mm flatter than the nail arch and then receives its mild but lasting bending force. Thanks to the gold coating, the bonding is highly supported. Compared to plastic braces, the extremely flat construction and, last but not least, the attractive appearance dominate. Sterilisable. Accurate choice of clasp size: The nail plate is measured in mm using the measuring aid and assigned to a clasp size with the same number. Ex: The measurement on the nail is 20 mm. This corresponds to the clasp size 20.

What do you have to look out for with the brace?
“It is really important to fix the brace correctly with the RUCK NAIL CORRECTION System bond. Then the RUCK NAIL CORRECTION UV gel only serves as a protective layer. I say this because unfortunately I have experienced patients in clinic where a brace had previously only been fixed with a bead of gel. In my opinion, something like that should not happen.”
