Ergonomics in your daily work – the right way to sit

Sitting and supporting
During mobile podiatry and foot care, you are often forced to turn and twist your body in all possible directions to reach your work area well and at the same time make the treatment as comfortable as possible for your patient. It is very important not to forget your own health and to adopt an ergonomic and back-friendly posture again. Your patients can also be involved in this, because often they are not even aware of the problem and are happy to help.
Straighten your back for a healthy posture
If you constantly put one-sided pressure on your spine by slouching, sooner or later you will have to expect tension in your muscles, and even unevenly worn joints. To get a feel for a straight posture, try the following exercise:
Step 1: Sit down on a chair, exhale and simply let your upper body collapse in on itself.
Step 2: In the next step, you inhale and straighten your upper body again, pulling your shoulders back and your chin up. This may not look very comfortable and may feel a little unusual, but you are now sitting up straight. Internalize this posture and try to adopt it again and again throughout the day.

The right seating position is essential
- Upright seat on the Chair 40.
- Legs at a 90-degree angle, feet flat on the floor.
- Shoulders relaxed, not hunched.
- Adjust the working height to prevent tipping forward.
- Keep your back straight, don't hunch over.
- Change your sitting position regularly to avoid tension.
