Neurological examination instruments for diabetics. Used for assessing protective sensation of feet and legs. Incl. temperature test to check the temperature sensitivity of diabetics. A reduced touch pressure sensation on the feet can be the first sign of a diabetic nerve disease. Monofilament testing is an easy-to use measurement method. Place the monofilament on the foot sole of the patient until the thread easily bends. Ensure that only a cornea free area is tested. If the patient will not be able to detect the presence of the filament on his foot sole, a doctor should be consulted.
