Disinfection columns for quick, contactless hand disinfection
Setting up disinfection columns for contactless hand disinfection in the podiatry practice environment brings many benefits. Mobile disinfection stations, which can be set up in different locations in the waiting area and treatment rooms, enable compliance with the applicable hygiene standards. They minimise the risk of infection and thus increase patient confidence. As a practitioner, you also benefit from easily accessible disinfection stations in the practice rooms.
Simple, time-saving, reliable: Free-standing disinfection columns for your practice rooms
Disinfection columns are free-standing drills or stations that are used for quick and easy hand disinfection. They have established themselves as mobile disinfection stations in places where hand hygiene plays an especially large role. They have long since been found not only in medical environments, such as doctors' surgeries, physiotherapy or podiatry practices, but also in high-traffic areas or public furnishings such as public authorities, office buildings or shopping centres.
In most cases, disinfection columns are made of a robust base or a similarly stable substructure. A refillable or replaceable disinfectant dispenser is usually mounted at the top, which is filled with a hand sanitiser. The disinfection columns that we have in our product range have a refillable tank with a filling volume of 1,000 ml, which is also suitable for alcohol-based disinfectants.
The dispenser unit of battery-operated disinfection columns, such as those found in the RUCK product range, is bonded to a UV light sensor. This reacts as soon as the sensor area is activated thanks to the hands being held underneath it and triggers a spray. However, there are also disinfection stations that are operated manually - for example by means of a button or a pump mechanism. The operating batteries of the disinfection columns in our hygiene portfolio are powered by four 1.5 V batteries. With full batteries and a total capacity tank, they can be used for around 30,000 dispensing cycles.
Disinfection columns can be set up in the entrance, reception and waiting area, for example, but also in WC anterooms or at the entrance door to treatment rooms.
The benefits of disinfection columns at a glance
Disinfection columns for contactless hand disinfection are a convenient, everyday option for improving the hand hygiene of patients and staff. They enable hand disinfection before and after treatment, which contributes to a significant reduction in the risk of infection.
Especially in busy podiatry practices, setting up disinfection columns in strategically affordable areas can shorten waiting times. Patients and practitioners can disinfect their hands here independently and so make everyday practice life more efficient and safer overall.
The provision of disinfection columns shows your patients that your practice prioritises hygiene and safety. This conveys a positive image and creates a feeling of customer friendliness and care.
