GOLDSTADT Professional Half Brace

It is possible to use a GOLDSTADT Professional Half Brace to treat a wide variety of nail problems. This optimised brace model provides with limited bending force, which makes it especially gentle to use. This type of half brace is especially suitable for thin nails or children’s nails. The pre-shaped brace is available in three application versions, each in five widths, so that podiatrists and foot care professionals can provide treatment options tailored to fit every nail.

The special features of a half brace for a nail correction system

The GOLDSTADT professional half brace provides with user-friendliness on the one hand and versatility in terms of its possible applications on the other. Pre-defined ends ensure simple, quick and individual adjustment. Unlike a full brace, the bending force of a GOLDSTADT professional half brace for a nail correction system is limited. Only the exposed legs are bonded to the nail. Then less pressure is exerted on the nail, allowing even thin nails or sensitive children’s nails to be treated gently.

The GOLDSTADT professional includes high-quality spring steel 1.4310 (chrome-nickel steel), which is primarily used in medical technology and the dental sector. Thanks to its gold coating, the half brace has anti-inflammatory and hypoallergenic properties. The material also offers excellent hygienic properties and can be safely disinfected and sterilised.

When has a GOLDSTADT professional half brace been used?

GOLDSTADT professional nail correction braces are used for various treatment purposes, depending on the model. These include, for example, the treatment of chronic nail deformities, ingrown nail tips, along with calluses and pressure points around the nail. A half brace has been used for nail correction, for example, if there are unilateral health problems with the nail or part of the nail plate is missing.

Recommendations for use of GOLDSTADT professional half braces for the nail correction system

GOLDSTADT professional half braces are intended for single use and are supplied non-sterile. Before first use, the brace must be properly disinfected and sterilised in accordance with applicable hygiene standards. If the brace is repositioned on the same patient and nail after the initial treatment, this is considered a continuation of the original treatment and the same brace can be reused.

To avoid skin irritation, skin injuries, pain and inflammation, it is not only important to select the correct brace size, but also to fit and apply it accurately. If the brace does not sit properly or causes excessive pressure or even pain, you can react quickly and adjust the half brace accordingly. The RUCK Nail Correction System measuring tool helps with fitting. It is made of transparent, elastic plastic with millimetre markings and immediately provides the exact measurement of the nail plate width, allowing you to select the appropriate brace size.
