The application is also extremely recommended for nail problems on the big toe or for very thickened nails.

The GOLDSTADT professional full toenail brace is made of high-quality spring steel 1.4310 (chrome-nickel steel), which is mainly used in the medical and dental fields.

The gold coating has an anti-inflammatory and hypoallergenic effect. Yet the toenail braces are practical thanks to their excellent disinfection and sterilisation properties.

To determine the right brace size, the individual nail width should be measured before application. The full brace is available in five sizes (12, 15, 17, 20 and 23 millimetres) along with two thicknesses (0.1 and 0.15 millimetres). The width of the brace varies between 2 and 3 millimetres, depending on the size.

In contrast to the GOLDSTADT professional half brace, whose bending force is limited, a full brace for nail correction system develops a stronger leverage effect. It is important that they are presented accurately as a result of which they can have an optimum effect on the nail to be treated. This is how a GOLDSTADT professional full nail brace is applied to the toenail

As a result, nail problems can be treated optimally if the nail correction brace used for correction purposes sits accurately.

  • For preparation, the nail folds are cleaned with a gouge blade or a nail lifter and the tip of the nail is trimmed. The surface of the nail is lightly roughened with a grinder and cleaned with the nail correction cleaner, a special cleaner. This ensures both maximum hygiene and optimum durability of the brace present.
  • Thanks to pre-tamponading, a stretching of the nail folds can be achieved. Pre-treatment of the nail with peclavus (5 to 8 minutes contact time) ensures "soothed" treatment areas.
  • The RUCK nail correction measuring aid is now used to determine the correct size of the nail correction brace to be used. Instead, put the measuring aid into the nail fold and mark the 0-point on the nail plate. Now measure from both sides of the nail from the nail fold to this point. The added measurement results give the correct clasp size. For example, if you measure 10 mm on the left and 13 mm on the right, 23 is the correct size of full brace for the toenail.
  • To insert the GOLDSTADT professional full brace, you will need various podological instruments, for example the round step pliers for shaping the end of the brace. With you it is important to ensure a conical course towards the nail moon. Instead, use one side and push the applicator only slightly backwards. Then you can apply the second side of the brace. Now carefully push the full brace up to the final position. The existing basic tension is reinforced thanks to motion, so an exact, pain-free adjustment is of utmost importance. Finally, degrease the entire surface again with a special product such as RUCK nail correction cleaner and protect the sensitive nail folds with tamponades.
  • In order to ensure that the GOLDSTADT professional full braces sit securely on the toenail, now wear a light-curing plastic gel such as RUCK silver UV gel onto the nail plate. With you, the gel may be applied directly to the tamponade. The gel is then set in approx. 2 minutes with a light curing device. Remove the dispersion layer with the cleaner. The tamponades can also be removed.
